Typically volunteer groups choose to spend a few days to a week living in the San Luis Valley and working to fulfill the mission of La Puente. Activities may include cooking meals at the shelter, stocking shelves at the Food Bank, building and painting fences, or gleaning vegetables from local fields, just to name a few.

Through a week of service volunteers not only physically assist the San Luis Valley community, but they also lift the spirits of those around them, motivating others to make a difference in the world.
