Volunteer Highlights

HarleyHarley started volunteering at Rainbow’s End Alamosa about a year ago simply because he loves the stores and he loves to help. He is one of our most dependable volunteers, often times being the first person to arrive and the last person to leave even though he would bike six miles into town and six miles back. He says, “It’s a joy to be where I am needed,” and believes that it is important to remain loyal to the things you do and the reason you do them. Although he has been offered a position at Rainbow’s End, he declines; he has chosen to put all his time into volunteering trusting that God will provide. Harley is a great asset to this organization and we are happy to have his continued support.

Community Volunteers

La Puente is always happy to welcome community volunteers in its mission of service to the San Luis Valley. While La Puente forms the infrastructure in order to empower our community here in the SLV, volunteers are the lifeblood of La Puente. We have many different volunteer opportunities in which you can share your talents, skills, and energy, either on a one-time or longer-term basis.

“At the heart of silence is prayer. At the heart of prayer is faith. At the heart of faith is life. At the heart of life is service.”

- Mother Teresa
