Home Repair Services is a program that works in low-income communities of the San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado to make necessary repairs to homes in need. The projects focus on creating safe and sanitary conditions in the home environment. Our professional construction supervisor welcomes groups at all skill levels, and takes great pleasure in teaching eager learners!

Our aim is to engage the faith community, alternative spring break programs, and non-denominational groups in service to some of the lowest resource families, elderly, and individuals in Colorado. We strive to provide a rich environment for faith exploration through service, community building, and leadership skill building. We will spend up to a week working and living in the community in which we serve, as well as weighing issues of poverty and justice that invariably present themselves throughout the experience.

Your group will arrive in the beautiful San Luis Valley, settle into your Church or Community Center accommodations, and have a briefing on the specifics of your group’s project for the week. You will have a day to take off and see the many area attractions that this corner of the world has to offer including the San Luis Stations of the Cross, Great Sand Dunes National Park, and historic Creede.
